.....Complimentary to the Food Glorious Food Series (see capriy@multiply), this is Food UnGlorious Food. lol.

I like their local ecomomy rice (they call it 自助餐) or 'self pigz lunch'. been to those shops quite a few times.

It's amazing how much the taiwanese can eat. some of them would pile the plate full of rice and then bury the rice under the sides.

think that it is quite cheap too.

in recent years, economy rice in taiwan is gaining popularity even with the old folks. largly due to the fact that youngsters now work long hours leaving the old ones at home and it does not really make sense to cook for two so most meals now for the old folks are settle with economy rice, get different choices daily + soup and it is cheap also. and now sometimes they buy it for ancestors praying also! :)

erm ben, think 自助餐 is not equal to 'self pigz lunch', think it is self-service meal. i think so ba.

roy: oh yah! i noticed alot of people buying home at the end of the day. the economy rice in taipei is not as oily as some can get in sg.

did u try their breakfast burgers? i ate some that was Ramly on a MOS burger standard. Cant ever forget.......... with milk tea......

MOS burgers? no... didn't go there for breakfast. :P somebody couldn't wake up.

but.. we did drop in @ MOS burger over there. capriy should be posting pictures soon ba...their milk tea is excellent!

no not mos.. streetside kinda shops.. no clue where i was in Taiwan at that time anyway.. but i dont think i ate a bad meal in taiwan.. ;p~
