- To Bangkok. :)
That's where I'll be on the 31st and that's where I'll be to bring on 2006.
Gosh, with the CFA's and work, I have been putting off the planning for
this trip sometime already. And to be honest, I didn't think that I
would be going. The brilliant thing however, is this - I've been
telling my whole world that I'll be in Bangkok come December 31st - all
my friends, family, colleagues and clients. I don't think that they'll
let me forget (probably for the whole of 2006) if I'm still here - I
should stand to lose alot of face and take alot of unnecessary stick. So
that one single thought has taken a ton of inertia off my situation.
It's one of the rare times that my big mouth has actually worked in my
favour.
The really amazing thing is that everything has started to fall
into place. I already have a fair idea of where I'll be and what I'll
be doing. I'll be meeting friends
there! Cool! Having cofy hah! Eunice and Shirley will be there by the 7th I think. Those 2
would probably have eaten up half the food in Bangkok by the time they
are done. I'll be helping them with the pad thai and seafood at the
very least. Marie's already there (Marie's my ex flat mate and she's an
expat there. It'll be awesome to meet her for a drink. (she eats like a cow too. ha) And I spoke to a
client earlier tonight, she'll be there with her colleagues by the 30th
(dec) - and I can join them for a drink on the 31st. ho ho ho. I have new friends on New Year's Eve. Nice.
I plan to be crawling out of Bangkok and making my way back home to SG
by the 9th. Just one stopover in between - Koh Pangan - the notorious
full moon party should be on the 14th. Otherwise i will probably just
be lazing around the island's many beaches - reading a book and getting a tan.
Well Koh Pangan might not happen. But I aim to be home around the 15th.
My friend, Natalie's organsing a chocolate fondue party around that
time too. I am secretly hoping she gets lazy instead of greedy and organises
that a week later instead.
Things are looking up. yay.
p.s. my flight's only leaving on the 31st ha. just squeezed into bangkok.
p.s.a.g.a.i.n. i've already decided to spend next new year's eve in
sydney. lawrence should still be there. and it should be awesome
drinking beer, watching the fireworks and discussing manutd's x'mas
fixtures.
