In celebration of World Prank Day...

hey guys, i'm still alive & happy pranking tomorrow. Here are some cool ideas that you might want to use.

By radio stations
BBC Radio 2 (2004): The Jeremy Vine Show reported that Germany had pulled out of the Euro but, as the German Mark was no longer in existence, they were in negotiations to join the British pound. Outraged listeners called in their hundred to say that such a move would be an assault on British sovereignty.[citation needed]

BBC Radio 4 (2005): The Today Programme announced in the news that the long-running serial The Archers had changed their theme tune to an upbeat disco style.[13]

Death of a mayor: In 1998, local WAAF shock jocks Opie and Anthony reported that Boston mayor Thomas Menino had been killed in a car accident. Menino happened to be on a flight at the time, lending credence to the prank as he could not be reached. The rumor spread quickly across the city, eventually causing news stations to issue alerts denying the hoax. The pair were fired sh...

Reporting a Johor crime?

Call this number +607-2212-999

According to Mr Tan (not me; as reported by AsiaOne), this number is more immediate because officers may not always be able to respond to police station calls immediately due to work matters.

He added: "If the officer does not arrive within 15 minutes, report it to us. The Chief of Police will look into why the police officer arrived late."

----
- gosh, wouldn't there be alot of prank calls then? hmm.. can use that to kill time when the EPL season

OH MY COD......Best Fish and Chips in BKK?....

http://www.fishandchipsbangkok.com/

I would have say yes - so far. But that is only because I have not had the luxury of trying out fish and chips elsewhere. In reality, it comes way way back when compated to our regular Fish & co and even LJS. NO.2 rated best fish and chips in BKK (from the forums) is in Soi Cowboy; incidentally located just 15 mins (walking) from our serviced apartment @ Sukhs.

So the highlight of the day for me was spending an afternoon, walking through backpacker country Khao San in the blazing sun. Peering into the shops and people watching. The ang mo crowd here is different from the regular siam paragon/square crowd. Most are dressed comfortably only in berms and t-shirt. Brought back fond memories of my backpacking days, of just lazing around in the cafes for many afternoons on end; reading a good book.

I've put up some pics of our lunch though. :) More to come @ the regular Food Glorious Food site!

Rasif got defendant to help move $985k to Vietnam

Friend says Rasif spun tax evasion story to get him to open bank account

By Selina Lum
Jun 27, 2007
The Straits Times

PUB owner Freddy Lim Soon Kiang says he was only trying to help a long-time friend avoid taxes when he opened a bank account in Ho Chi Minh City last year.
But he is now a defendant in a multi-million-dollar lawsuit after his friend, lawyer David Rasif, absconded with millions of dollars in client funds.

According to Mr Lim, Rasif spun a story that he was about to receive a sum of money from London but wanted to evade the tax that he would have to pay if the funds were deposited in a Singapore bank.

Mr Lim, who was in Ho Chi Minh City to...

Josh Groban & Ally Mcbeal.

I remember missing the episodes in university and my friends were all raving about his singing after. - a few months later, the 'geek who can sing' became an international hit.

You are still you

To where you are - 2nd performance

Fr Wiki ¬
Groban played the role of Malcolm Wyatt in the May 2001 season finale of the television series Ally McBeal, performing "You're Still You." The series creator, David E. Kelley, was impressed at Groban's performance at The Family Celebration event, and, based on the audience reaction to Groban's singing, Kelley created a character for Groban in this finale. The character of Malcolm Wyatt was so popular, with 8,000 emails from fans,[4] that Groban was asked to return the next season to reprise his role and perform "To Where You Are." The singer's eponymous debut album Josh Groban was released on November 20, 2001. Over the next year, it went from gold to double-platinum.[5]

FuGF: Taipei economy rice.

.....Complimentary to the Food Glorious Food Series (see capriy@multiply), this is Food UnGlorious Food. lol.

I like their local ecomomy rice (they call it 自助餐) or 'self pigz lunch'. been to those shops quite a few times.

It's amazing how much the taiwanese can eat. some of them would pile the plate full of rice and then bury the rice under the sides.

think that it is quite cheap too.

Surprise at 3am.

I skyped with KJ early this morning. It was nice talking to him again. It's has been about 6 months since I spoke to him and we have been several timezones and an accident apart.

He's starting to work 2 hours from home each day. In New Zealand, they have a occupational therapist who will asses your condition and intercede with your employer to determine the amount of work you can do.

Just last week, he could not read due to severe headaches. It is amazing how quickly the body can cover. He was complaining about boredom - which is a good sign.

It was nice to receive emails from some of you and we really appreciate that your thoughts are with us.

We are all on the road to recovery since our car collision on 22nd December. The attached photo and write-up was published recently. It was truly a miracle the events of the car collision weren't worse and that one passer-by happened to be a trained paramedic who immediately stoppe...

The soy alternative.

it tasted weird at first, soy in coffee. the second sip brought about more joy. but i'm guess that i'm more or less used to it. tonight's hot chocolate at starbucks confirmed just how much affection i have towards the substitute.

now i've gotten rid of milk from my diet... dare i work on the caffeine?

gosh, check this out -> http://www.soycoffee.com/

"And then came the news. My doctor told me that my frequent headaches, sluggishness throughout the day, and irritability were all most likely caused by the caffeine in my diet. I needed to eliminate caffeine.

No more coffee? I couldn't believe it. But I persevered. After all, what's more important than your health, right? So I tried herbal teas, organic juices, you name it. But no matter what I tried, nothing gave me the same satisfaction as that rich mouthful of coffee from my morning mug, or during my afternoons at work. At first I was tempted to return to coffee, but I didn't because after a few weeks an amazing thing happened!

My d...

*Dzongs, in and about them

"Dzongs serve as the religious, military, administrative, and social centers of their district.

Dzongs were frequently built on a hilltop or mountain spur. He was right.
